February Craft Club

Our next Craft Club of the new year will be Tuesday 4th February at Atlantis Books from 5.30 to 7.30pm. 

Ever wanted to try crochet, but not sure how to get started? Well, now's your chance! We're having a beginner's crochet session at Craft Club in February, all beginners and improvers welcome. Know what you're doing? Come along and help those of us just starting out to get going. We'll be doing simple things like granny squares, working up (perhaps!) to some twiddle mitts for St John's Hospice (or at least getting them started!)

There will be lots of wool and crochet hooks and printed instructions available (and maybe some videos too), but do bring any wool or crochet hooks you have lying around.

Craft Beautiful Magazine, January

Crafts Beautiful Magazine has a regular double-page spread of WI crafting news and pictures. We're delighted to see LWEWI Craft Club's November decorations featuring in the current issue!

At our first meeting of 2020 we decided to take things slow, with a spot of quilling and card making, creating these floral beauties.

Next month's club, on Tuesday 4th February, will be an introduction to crochet. More details coming soon!

January craft club - reminder

Our first Craft Club of the new year will be Tuesday 7th January at Atlantis Books from 5.30 to 7.30pm. 

This month we're doing the quilling which was postponed from January, except without the Christmas theme!  For those who don't know, quilling is the art of curling up paper to make cards and pictures like these:

There will be lots of papers, quilling tools, card blanks and patterns for everyone, so you don't need to bring anything with you - although if you have blank card, embellishments, scissors, glue and/or craft mats, do feel free to bring them. And if you've never paper crafted before, fear not as our crafters will be able to help you out!
